Based on our corporate vision, "Empower Data, Innovate the Business, Shape the Future", the Group believes that maximizing the performance of each and every individual - unfettered by region, age, gender, or race - through the sharing and utilization of data will lead to the overcoming of social issues. Our sustainability policy is to create a regenerative system that empowers people and organizations, builds a data-driven society, and promotes solutions to social issues to creates a better society.

Based on this policy, we have identified the following six key materialities: "Workplace Innovation", "Digital Transformation (DX)", and "Utilization of BIG DATA" to ensure we continue to provide services that help solve society's problems, and "Human Rights and DE&I", "Environmental Management", and "Community Support", which serve as the foundation for the creation of these services. Together with others, we are working on various initiatives to create a better society through the power of data.

02.Sustainability Initiatives

Climate change response

Accelerating the decarbonization of society through data and technology. We aim to achieve net-zero CO2 emissions.

We received a "B" score in the CDP Climate Change Report of 2024. This report is published by the CDP, a British non-profit organization that holds the world's largest collection of environmental data and operates a global environmental disclosure system for businesses and municipalities.

The Group sees climate change as one of the most important management issues. In order to contribute to achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement on climate change, we are promoting information disclosure based on TCFD recommendations and are actively working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through our business based on our own target to address climate change (net zero CO2 emissions by 2030). In addition to reducing direct greenhouse gas emissions from our own activities, we will achieve this by using our proprietary technologies to provide a wide range of services that contribute to reducing environmental impact while analyzing risks and opportunities in accordance with the TCFD framework, thereby increasing the effectiveness of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in society as a whole.

A major challenge in corporate initiatives to address climate change is the collection and aggregation of multiple scattered data points.

We are leveraging the expertise in data utilization that we have cultivated over many years to develop products and solutions that contribute to reducing GHG emissions in order to promote measures that address climate change throughout society.

Examples of how WingArc1st's corporate activities improve social values

Through our products and services, WingArc1st contributes to the transformation of workstyles, including remote work and paperless operations, and helps accelerate operations through the high-speed aggregation of big data. In addition, our products and services also contribute to improving environmental value by reducing environmental impact.

For that reason, we view each employee as our greatest asset, and aim to see the individual and the organization unite in their goals and continue to grow together.
In 2024, WingArc1st Inc. obtained its ISO 30414 certification, the international standard for human capital disclosure. In line with this, the company published its Human Capital Report.

■ Strategic investment in human resources and support for autonomous growth

We regard the acquisition and development of cloud/DX human resources, a strategic growth investment area, as an essential element for medium- to long-term growth. In terms of human resource development, we provide training and career development programs that emphasize independence and optimize skills development for each individual employee and division, while systematically selecting and nurturing core personnel through talent management as a company-wide initiative.

■ Promotion of DE&I

In accordance with our Human Rights Policy, we respect the diversity of each individual's values ​​and work styles. We are working on DE&I to create sustainable value and to generate innovation in our business operations through the participation and collaboration of diverse talent. Our DE&I concept is "Equity is Empowerment!". By empowering our people through opportunities across a variety of environments, we will contribute to everyone's growth.
To promote the advancement of women in the workplace, we have set goals to increase the ratio of female employees and the ratio of female managers, and are working on various measures for mid to long-term career development for women.

■ Work styles that maximize the performance of diverse employees

We are expanding systems such as full remote work and super-flexible work hours so that each and every employee with various lifestyles and life stages can maximize their performance. We have introduced various measures to support balancing work with childcare and nursing care, creating an environment in which everyone can play an active role. We also focus on health management, believing that maintaining and improving the health of our employees, which is the foundation for enhancing their performance, is extremely important.

Society/Community

Grow with the community and nurture the next generation.

We will contribute to the development of various communities, including the public sector, by leveraging our unique technology and data utilization expertise. We will also strengthen our partnerships with local governments and use data to advance administrative services and solve regional issues. We seek to realize a more sustainable and vibrant society by pursuing new value created by connecting society with data.
In this context, we also focus on coexistence with local communities and support the development of the next generation by providing IT education for elementary school students and SDGs learning for junior and senior high school students in various communities. Furthermore, we will contribute to the development of society as a whole by developing an SDG program (Chohyo ClimateSmart Workstyles) in collaboration with our partners and by supporting NPOs, while balancing business value and social value.
